Dec 10I need your help
Kickstarter.com is about the coolest thing out there for independent projects to raise money. For the feature film that I worked on last year, 1 in 3, we are working hard to raise money to pay professional sound people to fix the film’s audio. We also need post funds for film festivals and getting the word out.
A few months back at the Southern Winds Film Festival, after the screening we were were approached by a 14-year-old boy. He said he was blown away by the film. That it was an important message and it was done really well. He compared 1 in 3 to a zombie film he had seen the day before and said 1 in 3 was better. HA! We beat out zombies, who would have thought? He said more people need to see this film, and I agree with him.
It’s absolutely unexpected and inspirational how many people have come up to us after screenings and shared their personal stories with us. It really is closer than you think. Hopefully we can get 1 in 3 a small distribution deal (I guess we would settle for a big one too). With distribution people could see it, buy it, share it, love it, learn from it. And that’s really what it’s all about.
And the biggest way you can help this film reach it’s goal? Send this to everyone you know, post it on Facebook, mass email your family and friends, and most of all, talk about it. We absolutely, unabashedly appreciate you. Here is the link- http://kck.st/geHSgw
